Love their fish. The burgers are basic but pretty good too. This restaurant is a local favorite that provides a retro and nostalgic, outdoor eating experience. It has even been featured in a scene on "Get On Up."

Nice place, great shakes, nothing out of the ordinary about the burgers

This is my usual place to stop when I come to town and usually I'm satisfied but this last time (a week ago) has changed my mind. I ordered two pork chop plates and what we received was less than satisfying. The pork chops looked old and were dried out. So bad that we couldn't even eat them. They were hard and not very appealing. They should have been ashamed to even serve that to a customer. After all these years of going, I won't be returning.

Due to this pandemic work has been really hard on me and for the past week I have been disappointed when it came to wanting some good ice cream. Today I got off from work tired and frustrated and went across town to the malt shop and got a large cup of vanilla ice cream with oreo toppings. The young lady that took my order was very nice and she made my ice cream look like it belongs on TV. While driving home the cookies were fresh and crunchy, the ice cream was so good and on top of that the way she made it the toppings weren't just on top of the ice cream she had layered the cookies between the ice cream. That young lady must knew I needed this pick me up. I drove slow on my way home and when I got home I just sat in the car until it was all gone. I WAS NOT SHARING MY TREAT WITH NOONE! I wanted to take the time and brag on this young lady for a brief moment. Thank you so much!

I had the catfish poboy with banana flavored malt. My boyfriend had the roast beef poboy with *real banana* malt. We're both very happy with our meals. The piece of catfish on mine was thick and tender. The roast beef had great flavor. We both loved our banana malts despite not being able to agree on the superior kind of banana. 🤣

To say its a malt shop I figured the burgers would have a unique homemade taste. They tasted like any fast food chain burger. I'm not from the area so I wanted to try something new.

The fried chicken is always crispy and fresh! I get chicken wings or fried drumsticks plate. I love the seafood platter. It even comes with oysters. The snowball flavor "banana" is really delicious!

This is a very old place but it still tastes new it also has sooo many options and there is almost never a line which shouldnt change your mind in my opinion anyone should eat there its really 👍

What a classic. I don’t know when this place first opened but it looks like the Fonz could have visited here. We had a root beer float, hot fudge Sunday, chocolate malt and a banana split. What a treat. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day. While we were there, a couple with their children were having what looked like fried catfish and French fries. Had we not just finished dinner I would have loved to try it.

A Natchez Staple - try to hit the malt shop every visit!

The sofa in the king suite was stained (quite possibly) bodily fluids. The bathroom was not kept up...corrosion under the faucets in the bathrooms. The pillows were very fluffy...but would shrink to nothing under the weight of your head. The employees were nice and helpful. The breakfast washole in the wall place, park and place order at window. We ordered a blt a vanilla malt and a chocolate malt. Can I just say everything was AWESOME!

Best burgers, milkshakes and malts EVER! Plus for visitors to Natchez, it's on the "visit Natchez " list. It has a wooden picnic table with names carved...add yours. Please! The burger plate comes w/2 burgers and the Big Daddy is 1/2#. But, I really love the shakes. Banana is my favorite. It is in its original 60 y/o building and is beside what was the high school.

I really enjoy the authentic experience at the Malt Shop and the lovely music that plays if you choose to sit there as you wait for your order. They always hire really nice people and the food is amazing! I love to go there with friends when when walking downtown!

Food taste like grease is old

Awesome food, service, and the best peanut butter malt I have had in a long time. My boyfriend who didn't want one stole half.

What a great place! Sits off in the "corner of town" & is a fantastic find for anyone who enjoys diamonds in the rough! I love to hunt those eating establishments that are not your usual.. especially when traveling. This is one of those places! I have marked it on my map & will return bcause though most stop for the ice cream & shakes, their burgers are great as well!

This place is the real deal! It's an old fashioned drive-up that still offers homemade burgers, fries, etc. Great food!Totally enjoyed it!

It was okay because I had to steal reorder once I got there I called Ian order it still had to reorder once I got there which was over 20 minutes of waiting

Dry french fries, no cocktail sauce with shrimp 4, oysters 3, (they said none), basically all over cooked. Shake good.. Dinner 1 - with med shake $16.

The porkchop dinner was over cooked. When we complained the server was rude and argumentative. We will not be eating here again...

I ordered the jumbo cheese burger. Very good burger. I had a small malt with that.It’s window service. It’s cooked to order. It’s not fast but it’s done right. 1 jumbo cheese, 1 corn dog, 2 ice creams. $12.00. They do take credit cards now.There is a large picnic table out front.

Great food always! Well seasoned and the staff is friendly. If you order in advanced by phone, the service will be quicker.

This is such a great little spot. The service here is amazing and they will help you pick the best item they have that day! The prices are really good and totally worth making a stop here. It is nothing fancy, but it is the perfect little local malt shop.

The joint's not much to look at but the strawberry shake was really good.

My mother used to take me to the Malt Shop when I was little. I don’t know what happened since then but the food is HORRIBLE and the service is even WORSE! Terrible food and rude, almost borderline hateful, staff. The only reason I gave it a single star is because there is no lower option. Definitely the place to avoid. If your hungry, stay that way. You’ll be better off!
